Job summary

The University of Southern California is seeking a Cardiac Catheterization Technologist to assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures. You will prep and perform imaging, troubleshoot equipment, and keep precise records while maintaining supplies in the Cath Lab.

The role requires scrub/circulator duties for complex procedures, operation of Rotablator and EKOS systems, and strict adherence to radiation safety and sterile technique.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• Minimum 2 years as Radiologic Technologist with angiography or cardiac cath experience.
• Electrophysiology and interventional peripheral vascular experience preferred.
• Structural heart repair experience preferred.
• Certified Radiologic Technologist (CA DPH) and Fluoroscopy Permit required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as scrub assistant or circulate for diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
• Prepare for and operate imaging equipment with patient safety and quality control.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and documentation; archive images to PACS.
• Assist with post-procedure patient care and track hemodynamic data.
• Participate in after-hours standby as required.
• Train staff in Cath Lab cross-training.
• Ensure radiation protection and sterile technique.
