Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program required.
• 2 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist; angiography or cardiac cath experience required.
• Electrophysiology, peripheral vascular, structural heart repair, and cardiac support device experience preferred.
• Certified Radiologic Technologist (CA DPH) required.
• Radiologic Technologist Fluoroscopy Permit (CA DPH) required.
• Radiography (ARRT) required.
• BLS Healthcare Provider (AHA) required.
• Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) required within LA city if not on hire.
• Advanced ARRT Certification in vascular/cardiac radiography preferred.
• ACLS Healthcare Provider preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organizes, plans and directs activities relating to patients and procedures in the Cath Lab.
• Serve as scrub assistant or circulator for diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
• Assist in transcatheter valve replacement and related procedures.
• Maintain and operate interventional imaging equipment and cardiology PACS.
• Ensure patient identification, safety, and documentation per protocol.
• Provide radiation protection and sterile technique; maintain supplies and records.
• Participate in after-hours standby and on-call duties.
• Assist in training cross-training of technologists in the Cath Lab.
