Job summary

The University of Southern California is seeking a Special Procedure Technologist to support radiologists in diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures. You will scrub in, prepare and position patients, troubleshoot equipment, and maintain records and supplies in the imaging department or OR.

You will work with Angio and other modality equipment, practice sterile technique, and participate in after-hours standby.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• 2 years experience as Radiologic Technologist.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work with physicians, staff and patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with invasive procedures and scrub in on procedures.
• Prepare and position patients for interventional procedures.
• Manage equipment, supplies and safety protocols in the Angio suite.
• Maintain records, billing, and quality control documentation.
• Participate in after hours standby and pager duty as needed.
• Ensure sterile technique and radiation protection standards.
