Job summary

Atlantic Health in Morristown, NJ seeks a Cardiac Catheterization Lab technician to assist during interventions and support patient care. You will prep rooms, scrub in, and respond to patient concerns while ensuring comfort throughout procedures.

You will monitor hemodynamics, document procedures, retrieve imaging and data for physician interpretation, and adhere to safety guidelines. This role involves handling emergency data and equipment per standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepares procedure room and scrubs/assist MD during cardiac catheterization and interventions including stent placements, balloon angioplasties, heart valve replacements, and/or EP procedures
• Prepares and drapes patients for the process, responds to their questions alleviating any concerns regarding the procedure, and ensures patient comfort
• Enters patient, procedure and equipment details in the system
• Monitors patient hemodynamic status during procedure, including electrocardiogram, blood pressure, chest pain
• Retrieves imaging and other pertinent data and all necessary calculations for physician's interpretation of results
• Balances, calibrates and records appropriate hemodynamic data as well as intervenes in cardiopulmonary emergencies
• Operates equipment properly in a reliable manner, per departmental standards, complying with all safety guidelines/policies
• Performs other related duties as assigned
