Job summary

Atlantic Health in New Jersey seeks a Cardiovascular Technologist to assist in cardiac catheterization and related interventions. You will prepare the room, scrub for MDs, monitor hemodynamics, retrieve imaging, and ensure patient comfort.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma, BLS, and invasive CVT or ARRT credentials. Experience with EP procedures and stent placements is preferred. On-site role with opportunities in a busy cardiology lab.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• RCIS/RCES within one year of hire with accredited CVT program, or Licensed RT (ARRT) with invasive experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares procedure room and scrubs/assists MD during cardiac catheterization and interventions including stent placements, balloon angioplasties, heart valve replacements, and/or EP procedures.
• Prepares and drapes patients, responds to questions, and ensures patient comfort.
• Enters patient, procedure and equipment details in the system.
• Monitors patient hemodynamic status during procedure (ECG, BP, chest pain).
• Retrieves imaging and data for physician interpretation and calculates required parameters.
• Balances, calibrates and records hemodynamic data; intervenes in cardiopulmonary emergencies.
• Operates equipment per departmental standards and safety guidelines.
