Job summary

Atlantic Health in New Jersey is seeking an experienced professional to support cardiac catheterization procedures in the cath lab. You will assist MDs during interventions, monitor patient status, and ensure comfort and safety throughout the procedure.

You will manage data entry, retrieve imaging, and contribute to accurate interpretation of results while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepares procedure room and scrubs/assists MD during cardiac catheterization and interventions such as stent placements, angioplasties, valve replacements, and EP procedures.
• Prepares and drapes patients, answers questions, alleviates concerns, and ensures patient comfort.
• Enters patient, procedure and equipment details in the system.
• Monitors hemodynamic status during procedures, including ECG, blood pressure, and chest pain.
• Retrieves imaging data and calculates results for physician interpretation.
• Balances, calibrates, and records hemodynamic data and intervenes in emergencies.
• Operates equipment reliably per safety guidelines and department standards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
