Qualifications

• ARRT certification and active state licensure.
• BCLS mandatory at hire; ACLS within 120 days.
• PALS within 120 days for pediatric hospitals.
• Proper operation of IR equipment and safety practices.
• Adhere to policies for consent, coding, and QC.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date licensure and certifications required for position.
• Provide procedural assistance as a circulating tech, scrub tech, or monitoring tech.
• Operate IR equipment and information systems to ensure quality images.
• Prepare patient with proper ID, order verification, and exam readiness.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment.
• Follow protocol for medical necessity, coding, and consents.
• Educate patients, ensure comfort, and address concerns.
• Keep accurate records of patient data, procedures, and events.
• Coordinate care and communicate with other providers.
• At the end, manage hemostasis as required.
