Job summary

Lebanon School District is seeking an Intervention Support Specialist to help students succeed in reading and math. You will partner with teachers to implement targeted strategies, work with individuals or small groups, and utilize intervention software to boost growth.

You’ll track progress, maintain confidentiality of data, and collaborate with coaches and principals to meet student needs in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• PA PDE teaching certification is preferred.
• Must have strong communication and organizational skills with a collaborative approach.

What You’ll Do:

• Partner with classroom teachers to develop and deliver strategies that help students master essential literacy and math skills
• Work directly with individual students or small groups, providing targeted support and encouragement
• Use innovative instructional strategies and learning technologies to boost student growth
• Track student progress and keep performance data organized and confidential
• Collaborate regularly with staff, building coaches, and administrators to discuss student needs and share effective strategies
• Become an expert in intervention software and tools that promote learning
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for every student

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree (required)
• Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) certification (preferred)
• Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
• Experience with classroom management and instructional strategies
• Excellent organizational skills and a collaborative spirit
• Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism

Position Details:

• Temporary, part-time role dependent on grant funding for 4 hours per day for 164 days for the 2026-2027 school year.
• Salary: $37/hr. for those that hold a PA teaching certificate; $35/hr. for all others with a bachelor's degree.
