Job summary

Learn It Academic Services in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an Intervention Teacher to deliver targeted reading and math support. You will create engaging lessons, monitor progress, and collaborate with school staff in a small-group setting to promote student success.

Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills are essential, along with a valid teaching certification or eligibility and reliable internet access for remote teaching when needed.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Teaching Certification or Statement of Eligibility.
• Teaching experience with elementary, middle, and/or high school students.
• Title I experience preferred.
• Ability to complete district fingerprinting and background clearance, when applicable.
• Reliable internet access and a computer with webcam for remote teaching, when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Create exceptional learning experiences for students in need of academic support.
• Develop lesson plans and implement academic interventions in reading and mathematics.
• Engage students in learning and maintain a positive classroom environment.
• Assess, document, and report student academic data and progress.
• Collaborate and communicate with principals, classroom teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team.
• Implement program components and adhere to applicable compliance requirements.
