Position Summary

Location: Nampa, ID 83686

Job Type: Full‑time / Part‑time

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Human Services or 24 upper‑division semester credits in a non‑human services discipline)

Salary: $22.00 per hour

The Intervention Specialist (IS) provides direct intervention for children and adolescents with developmental disabilities in schools, community, and/or center settings. The IS’s role is to deliver intervention services aimed at decreasing maladaptive behaviors and encouraging adaptive behaviors using reinforcement strategies, in accordance with each individual’s treatment plan.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide direct one‑on‑one intervention to a child or adolescent with a developmental disability in accordance with the plan for treatment.
• Document daily progress toward goals.
• Effectively communicate with parents and other providers.
• Complete required annual training requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field, or a non‑human services degree with a minimum of 24 upper‑division semester credits in human services.
• Verifiable proof of paid, supervised experience providing services to an individual (0‑21 years of age) with a developmental disability for a minimum of 1,040 hours.
• Complete 40‑hour RBT training in ABA (provided by RISE) or hold a current certificate in Habilitative Intervention (HI).
• Have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license and car insurance.
• Must provide or obtain CPR/First Aid certification (provided by RISE).
• Must provide or obtain MANDT and/or other de‑escalation certification training (provided by RISE).
• Must be able to pass a background check.
