Job summary

Summit County Educational Service Center in Ohio is seeking an Intervention Specialist for the Kids First/TOPS program for the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities include developing individualized education programs for students with special needs and ASD, collaborating with related service personnel, and maintaining open communication with families and districts.

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in Intervention Specialist and an Ohio license/certification.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Intervention Specialist required.
Valid Ohio certificate/license required.
Previous experience working with students diagnosed with autism preferred.
Successful completion of all pre-employment screenings.
Alternatives to the above qualifications may be considered as determined appropriate by the Board.
Provide educational programming for students with special needs and behavioral challenges in an alternative educational setting.
Collaborate with related service personnel to provide educational programming for students diagnosed with ASD.
Develop and implement individualized educational programming through daily planning, classroom activities, and assessment goals.
Provide educational activities that promote students' academic, social, and emotional growth.
Maintain effective communication and collaboration with administration, districts of residence, and families regarding student needs and programming.

Bachelor's degree in Intervention Specialist required; Moderate to Intensive preferred.
Valid Ohio certificate/license required.
Previous experience working with students diagnosed with autism preferred.
Successful completion of all pre-employment screenings.
Alternatives to the above qualifications may be considered as determined appropriate by the Board.

Salary: Salary schedule placement commensurate with experience and training.
