Summit Educational Service Center in Ohio seeks an Itinerant Primary Intervention Specialist (P-3 or P-5 License) for the 2026-2027 school year. This position requires travel to early care and education sites in Summit and Portage Counties by personal vehicle and may include services at the child’s home, with mileage reimbursement provided.

Salary is commensurate with experience and training. The role focuses on delivering individualized educational programs for students with special needs,

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree in Education required.
• Ohio SBOE licensure that includes preschool special education is required - dually licensed with preschool general education is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience in working with students with special needs.
• Successful completion of all pre-employment screenings.
• Alternatives to the above as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
• Work effectively with children diagnosed with special needs and behavior challenges in an alternative educational program.
• Provides for individual differences through an individualized educational program that is evidenced in daily planning, class activities, and assessment goals.
• Provide appropriate educational activities and opportunities for children with a goal of enhancing their educational, social, and emotional growth.
• Maintains effective communication and collaboration with administration, district of residence, and families concerning matters related to students in the program.
• All other duties as assigned
