Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking an Intervention Specialist at Cleveland Sports Academy in Cleveland, Ohio to support students’ educational and behavioral goals, including those with an IEP. You will work with teachers, conduct diagnostic and functional behavior assessments, write behavior improvement plans, and facilitate IEP meetings, while communicating with families and supporting school activities.

Qualifications

Must hold a current state license.
Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
Experience in full room inclusion type model or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room.
Growth‑focused coaching with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient in MS Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with classroom teachers to support student learning and behavior.
Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction and functional behavior assessments.
Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals and objectives.
Communicate regularly with families regarding academic and social‑emotional growth.
Assist in planning non-instructional activities and events.
