Job summary

Broadway Academy at Willow in Cleveland, Ohio is seeking an Intervention Specialist to support the educational and behavioral goals of students with IEPs. You will collaborate with teachers to interpret abilities, conduct diagnostic assessments, and implement intervention strategies to improve student achievement and school culture.

This role requires state licensure, strong communication, and experience in inclusive/co-teaching environments.

Qualifications

• Current state license is required.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• Comfort with growth-focused coaching via frequent observations and progress monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Pass federal and state background checks (FBI/BCI).
• Experience in a multi-cultural setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with classroom teachers to interpret abilities/disabilities and adjust instruction as needed.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and write behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write goals/objectives.
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress.
• Participate in planning non-instructional activities and events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
