ACCEL Schools LLC is hiring an EK/Kindergarten Intervention Specialist at Sagewood STEAM Academy in Columbus, OH. The role focuses on supporting students with IEPs and fostering inclusive instruction in EK-8 settings.

You will work with teachers, conduct assessments, develop behavior plans, and participate in IEP meetings to drive student achievement and social-emotional growth in a collaborative school community.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full-room inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• Comfort in growth-focused coaching with frequent observations and progress monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background checks.
• Experience in a multi-cultural setting preferred.

Responsabilités

• Support educational and behavioral goals for all students, focusing on IEPs.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to interpret abilities and disabilities and adapt instruction.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write goals/objectives.
• Engage families regarding academic and social-emotional development.
• Participate in planning non-instructional activities and events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
