Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking an Intervention Specialist for STEAM Academy of Warrensville Heights in Cleveland, Ohio. The role focuses on students with IEPs and requires collaboration with teachers to implement targeted intervention and instruction.

Qualified candidates will hold a current state license, have experience with inclusion/co-teaching, and demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills to support student growth and social-emotional development.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid state Intervention Specialist license.
• Familiarity with State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in inclusion/Co-Teaching in Resource Room settings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word/Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to interpret student abilities and tailor intervention strategies.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Perform functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement IEP goals and behavior plans.
• Lead IEP meetings and monitor progress toward goals.
• Support student achievement and school culture objectives.
• Incorporate culturally responsive teaching in daily lessons.
• Serve as advisor to a group of students and communicate with families.
• Plan and participate in non-instructional activities and events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
