Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D is required.
• Must meet one of the three criteria to become Highly Qualified: two years of college, an associate degree, or passing the paraprofessional test.
• Satisfactory BCII and FBI background checks; three professional references.

Responsibilities

• Escort students to and from the building, transportation, and recess.
• Assist in implementing therapy plans (PT, OT, SLH) under supervision.
• Provide lunchroom support, feeding, and supervision.
• Assist with classroom activities, data collection, and progress recording.
• Maintain equipment and inventory, assist in maintaining bulletin boards.
• Support students during lessons, drills, and field trips, ensuring safety.
