Responsibilities

• Employ instructional methods most appropriate for stated objectives.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide progress reports as required.
• Counsel with colleagues, students and/or parents regularly.
• Assist administration in implementing policies governing student life and conduct.
• Develop reasonable classroom rules and maintain orderly environment.
• Plan and supervise assignments for teacher aides/volunteers and evaluate performance.
• Maintain accurate records as required by law and policy.
• Participate in IEP development and accommodations for students with disabilities.
• Monitor progress and report as needed; support co-curricular activities.
