Job summary

National Capitol Parks - East is seeking a Park Ranger (Interpretation) for a temporary, non-competitive extension-eligible role. The incumbent will develop and deliver interpretive programming, engage multigenerational audiences, and create digital content to promote park programs and events.

The position emphasizes community outreach and collaboration with partners in the DC area. The appointment is NTE 1 year with possible extension up to 24 months pending funding; open to the first 100

Qualifications

• At least one year of specialized experience at GS-05 level (outreach, partnerships, programming, digital content, social media).
• Education: one full academic year of graduate education related to the occupation or superior academic achievement.
• Combination of education and experience with transcripts and hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Perform community outreach to engage diverse audiences.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with parks and communities.
• Develop interpretive, recreational or educational programming for multigenerational audiences.
• Create digital content using graphic design tools and social media to inform the public.
