Job summary

The National Park Service seeks a Supervisory Park Ranger (Interpretation) to lead interpretation and education initiatives across the park. You will coordinate programs, develop materials, and oversee interpretive tours and exhibits, ensuring accuracy and engaging visitor experiences.

You will manage budgets, safety, and long-term planning, supervise staff and volunteers, and collaborate with partners to advance interpretive goals across seasonal and year-round programs.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
• Background investigation and favorable suitability.
• Possess valid driver's license and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Probationary period may be required to evaluate performance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates interpretation and education activities.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates short and long-range programs.
• Assists in negotiating and preparing cooperative agreements and MOUs.
• Coordinates scheduling and activities for year-round interpretive programs.
• Manages development of interpretative materials (guided tours, exhibits, web media).
• Ensures accuracy of budgetary transactions and participates in planning efforts.
• Manages on-the-job safety of employees and volunteers.
