Job summary

The Virginia Department for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing is seeking an Interpreter Services Coordinator to coordinate interpreter services for Virginia state agencies, the Supreme Court, and the Virginia Court System. This role provides direct customer service and ensures interpreters are qualified and registered.

Responsibilities include scheduling, records maintenance, invoice processing, and delivering program information to consumers and agencies.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering programs for deaf, hard of hearing and/or deafblind individuals.
• Proven data entry and data management skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, aligning with program priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and refer interpreters/CART services for state agencies and courts.
• Maintain interpreter records, ISP files, and monthly vendor mailings.
• Process invoices and vouchers, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
• Provide program guidance on interpreting procedures and billing to stakeholders.
