The Health Federation of Philadelphia seeks a full-time interpreter/translator for on-site support at our Philadelphia center. You will provide real-time interpretation, translate letters and forms, and assist patients and staff with insurance eligibility and navigation of health services.
The role requires fluency in English and a designated non-English language, strong verbal communication, and clerical skills. On-site work with standard hours and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

This position provides specialized interpretation and translation services between English and a designated non-English language for patients, staff, and members of the public. The role requires strong language proficiency, the ability to convey complex or idiomatic expressions accurately, and the capacity to establish trust with non-English-speaking individuals. When not actively interpreting, the employee performs routine clerical tasks to support Ambulatory Health Services operations. The role also involves explaining insurance program eligibility, including Affordable Care Act requirements, and documenting information in electronic medical records.
Standard office setting with extended periods at work station and periodic use of office equipment.
Full-time position with fringe benefits. Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM with 30-minute lunch break or as agreed to with supervisor. Days: Monday through Friday.
Work is primarily conducted on-site at the assigned Health Center.
Be able to lift at least 20lbs.
