Job summary

Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance seeks an Interpretation Programs Coordinator to advance our interpretive experiences across campus. You will coordinate live staff- and volunteer-led programs, develop new concepts, and ensure high-quality audience-centered experiences that bring DZCA’s stories to life.

The role supports scheduling, training, and collaboration with the Interpretation Manager and other departments, with a focus on guest engagement and continuous program improvement.

Qualifications

• Completion of a high school degree or equivalent required.
• 4+ years' experience in environmental education, museum or informal science institution education and interpretation, and staff or volunteer training and development, or any equivalent combination of experience, lived experience, and/or special skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skill in presentation and interpretation required.
• Demonstrated experience developing and facilitating audience-centered programs/experiences.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily interpretive operations and staff/volunteer programs across campus.
• Assist in developing, prototyping, testing, and implementing new interpretive concepts and formats.
• Create and maintain content standards and accessible resources for staff and volunteers.
• Oversee scheduling of staff and interpretation specialists; support training and program feedback cycles.
• Support departmental strategic planning and collaboration across departments.
