Job summary

Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance (DZCA) seeks an Interpretation Programs Coordinator to coordinate live staff- and volunteer-led interpretive experiences across campus, advancing DZCA’s Care, Connect, and Conserve stories.

You will lead daily interpretive operations, help develop and prototype new concepts, train staff and volunteers, and manage scheduling to ensure high-quality guest experiences and consistent program standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in environmental education or museum/informal science education and staff/volunteer training.
• Experience developing and facilitating audience-centered programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to tell compelling science stories.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate live interpretive experiences delivered by staff and volunteers.
• Assist in developing, prototyping, testing, and implementing new interpretive concepts.
• Create and maintain content standards and resources for staff and volunteers.
• Manage supplies and resources for interpretive programs.
• Oversee daily program staff scheduling with Interpretation specialists and manager.
• Model excellent customer service and guest engagement; incorporate feedback for program enhancement.
• Support departmental planning and collaboration across teams.
