Job summary

Adaugeo Healthcare Solutions is seeking an Interface Development Manager to lead our small interface development team responsible for HL7 v2.x, FHIR and SMART on FHIR integrations across AHS corporate, Praxis Health, and Interpath Laboratory.

The role combines hands-on technical ownership with people management, focusing on modernizing interfaces, AI-assisted development, HIPAA-compliant data exchange, and collaboration with clinical operations and stakeholders.

Qualifications

5+ years of .NET/C# development experience.
2+ years in a team lead or people-management capacity.
Direct, hands‑on experience with HL7 v2.x messaging and clinical data exchange.
Direct, hands‑on experience with FHIR and SMART on FHIR (OAuth2/UDAP, CDS Hooks).
Experience delivering software in a healthcare or regulated industry.
Comfort using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot).
Preferred: hands‑on experience with InterSystems IRIS for Health.

Responsibilities

Directly manage a small interface development team, including hiring, performance reviews, career development, and day-to-day technical direction.
Own the design, build, and support of HL7 v2.x and FHIR-based integrations, including SMART on FHIR app authorization flows.
Lead modernization of existing interface tooling and processes to reduce integration turnaround time for new clients and partners.
Champion AI-assisted development practices within the team while maintaining rigorous human review for PHI-related work.
Partner with the Software Development Manager, clinical operations, and business stakeholders to prioritize interface work against organizational goals.
Establish and maintain data quality, security, and HIPAA compliance standards for all interface work.
