Disciplines/What You'll Do

• Assist in applying water resources and civil engineering principles to develop safe, economical, and innovative water management solutions.
• Assist with technical analyses, calculations, and modeling, including hydrologic, hydraulic, sediment yield and transport, water balance, climatic, and dam break evaluations.
• Support the design of water management and civil infrastructure systems.
• Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and engineering deliverables.
• Develop drawings and layouts using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Participate in site investigations, fieldwork, and construction support activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project planning, design, and execution.

Here’s what we are looking for...

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline. Students entering their junior year, senior year, or graduate studies are encouraged to apply.
• Strong interest in developing engineering and technical skills in a consulting environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Ability to pay close attention to detail and deliver quality work.
• Ability to use sound judgment and solve problems effectively.li>
• Ability to manage time and workload effectively, including planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks.
• Ability to travel to project and field locations as needed.
• Interest in learning hydrologic and hydraulic principles.
• Interest in water resources engineering, surface water management, and related analytical techniques.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Civil 3D preferred.

Compensation

In accordance with Colorado state law, the hourly pay range for this position is: $25.00 - $30.00 an hour. Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based on experience, education, and skill level.

Work Environment

Work will be in both an office and field environment with potential travel to various outdoor sites determined by project needs. Adherence to safety standards including those of the firm, MSHA, OSHA is mandatory.
