Job summary

Responsibilities

• Review and approve payment requests and release payments per policies.
• Provide outstanding customer service to Sheetz employees and vendors; create remittance advices.
• Maintain vendor records and e-payable database; enroll new vendors.
• Process payments for POs, utilities, maintenance vendors, and T&E requests; input tax and rent payments.
• Investigate past-due or missing payments and resolve issues.
• Process credit applications, manual/void checks and reissue replacement checks; review daily cash report.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION

Process all payment requests to ensure timely and accurate payments to all vendors. Provide exceptional customer service to vendors and Sheetz employees.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties may be assigned)

• Review and approve payment requests, and release payments based on terms set by purchaser and/or Sheetz Accounts Payable Policies and Procedures. Review incoming invoices for proper coding and signature approvals prior to accounts payable input. Resolve invoice issues.
• Provide outstanding customer service to Sheetz employees and vendors. Create reports, upon request provide copies of paid invoices, create and send remittance advices.
• Maintain confidential information and perform account maintenance on vendor records, vendor and employee bank files. Maintain e-payable database, sign up new vendors, assign credit card numbers, investigate and resolve vendor e-payable credit card payment and remittance issues. Identify new invoices that can be paid with credit.
• Process payments related to purchase orders, utilities, maintenance/contractor vendors, merchandise, and T & E payment requests. Input and release tax payments, gasoline payments, rent payments, dividend payments and review for accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve issues with past due accounts, missing or duplicate payments.
• Process credit applications, manual checks, void checks and reissue replacement checks. Review daily cash report and approve prior to ultimate payment to vendor.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business

Experience

• 1 year of public or corporate accounting experience.
• 1 year accounts payable/purchase order experience preferred.
• Banking or credit card knowledge preferred.
