Job summary

Joe V's Smart Shop by H-E-B in Texas invites you to a 10-week Store Operations Internship. Program dates are May 24 through July 30, with shifts including nights and weekends, and you will be assigned to a store to learn the ins and outs of running operations from seasoned leaders.

You will work on projects, receive coaching, mentor network, and explore finance, inventory, HR and customer service while helping serve Texans through community outreach.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organization and time management.

Internship Summary At Joe V's Smart Shop by H-E-B, we've always had one goal in mind: Keep prices low and quality high. We work hard to do this everyday. Each of our stores carry many of the high-quality, fresh products H-E-B is known for, at even lower prices. That's smart shopping. That's Joe V's Smart Shop by H-E-B. Part of the H-E-B family of brands, Joe V's Smart Shop launched in 2010 and has stores in the Houston area and Dallas Fort Worth area. Spend 10 weeks with us exploring the retail industry as an H-E-B Store Operations Intern. Program dates will be from May 24th - July 30th, the days and hours you'll work will vary based on a retail schedule including some night and weekend shifts. You will be assigned to one of our Stores and learn the ins and outs of being a People Leader and running a store directly from Operations leaders who were once in your shoes! Be prepared to learn about financials, inventory, people planning, HR, taking care of our customers and much more! Program Expectations

Must have reliable transportation or be open to using public transportation.

You may be placed in a work location up to 45 miles from your home address.

Must be available for the entire 10 weeks.

The availability to commit to full-time work in-person for the duration of the Internship, and work a varying work schedule, if required.

Physical and Other Requirements

Function in a fast-paced, retail, office environment.

Lift up to 20 lbs on a regular basis.

Work rotating schedules.
