Job summary

H-E-B invites you to join a 10-week Manufacturing Intern program running May 24th – July 30th. Expect nights and/or weekend shifts as part of the operation schedule while exploring the retail manufacturing space in Texas.

You will oversee a key project, receive coaching, and network with senior leaders across divisions while gaining hands-on exposure to supply chain, logistics, and the H-E-B brand. This internship emphasizes teamwork, learning, and results.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an associates, bachelor’s or master’s degree program.
• Strong communication and presentation skills desired.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a project and create a solution for a current business challenge; solutions may be implemented across the business.

Internship Summary

Helping Texans is the H-E-B Way. Spend 10 weeks with us exploring the retail industry as an H-E-B Manufacturing Intern. Program dates will be from May 24th – July 30th. The days and hours you’ll work will vary based on an operations schedule to include nights and/or weekend shifts.

H-E-B self-manufactures 1,650+ products in our 15 Manufacturing Plants. Not to brag, but that includes 1.5 billion slices of bread, 64 million dozen tortillas, and 12.5 million gallons of ice cream per year. And yay for the 40,000 dairy cows it takes each day to manufacture our milk! Our goal is to achieve superior self-manufactured products through high-quality, low-cost products and services, so we can stay competitive and successful in the omnichannel business and delight our customers.

In this role, you’ll experience how to drive the business forward by prioritizing safety, reducing costs, maximizing operational efficiency, and providing our customers with our well-known own brand products.

Program Expectations

• Must have reliable transportation, you may be placed in a work location up to 45 miles from your home address
• Must be available for the entire 10 weeks
• The availability to commit to full-time work in-person for the duration of the Internship, and work a varying work schedule, is required

Physical and Other Requirements

• Function in a fast-paced, manufacturing plant and office environment
• Lift 20 lbs. or more on an occasional basis
• Work rotating schedules
