Job summary

Elon University invites applications for an Assistant Director of Internships in the Love School of Business. The role supports internship activities, oversees credit-bearing programs, and coordinates with the Porter Center to integrate BUS 1110 and related coursework.

This on-campus position reports to the Associate Dean for Faculty Development and Student Success. Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in higher education or related field and have a track record in career development for business

Qualifications

• Master's degree in higher education, student affairs or a related discipline.
• Preference for experience working with business students in a college setting.
• Experience with career development technologies and MS Office/database management.

Responsibilities

• Meet with students 1:1 and in groups to guide internship searches and related activities.
• Support Porter Family Professional Development Center programs and events to enhance networking and industry connections.
• Deliver class presentations and workshops on internship search, interviewing, and professional development.
• Develop timely communications to students and faculty about industry trends and internship requirements.
• Coordinate the BUS 3985/ACC 4985 credit-bearing internship course across semesters (400–450 students/year).
• Coordinate BUS 1110, Gateway to Business course involvement with the Porter Center.
