Job summary

Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. in Alabama invites students to join as a paid internship focused on supply chain basics and KPI reporting. You will support parts supply, learn MRP concepts, and explore cross‑department collaboration within Daimler’s global organization.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in university, eligible for 6 months, starting January 2027, and proficient in English with MS Office; PowerBI and SAP knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• Student in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Fluent in English (oral and written).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• PowerBI knowledge is an advantage.
• SAP knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and report KPI's for supply of parts to production.
• Gain knowledge of supply chain processes around series production.
• Learn how Daimler's global organization contributes to the 'big picture' of supply chain.
• Lead MRPs meetings to ensure KPIs are tracked and investigated.

Essential Functions:

• Develop, update, and report out KPI's to provide visibility and tracking of important topics related to the supply of parts to our production
• Gain invaluable knowledge about supply chain processes revolving around series production
• Learn how multiple departments within the global Daimler organization play into the "big picture" of supply chain

Other regular daily tasks:

• Learn valuable time management skills, as well as how information flows through an organization to ensure all stakeholders are aware of the current situation
• Learn the level of work that is expected to succeed in an organization such as MBUSI
• Assist the Material Requirements Planning group with both MRP and Project Management tasks
• Lead meetings with the MRPs to ensure KPIs are being tracked and investigated/fixed

Qualifikationen

Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.

Education:

Student in Supply Chain Management orin a related area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills:

• Fluent in English (oral/written)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills)
• PowerBI is an advantage
• SAP knowledge is an advantage

Preferred Start Date:

• January 2027

Benefits:

• Paid internship - hourly rate $18
• Coverage of visa costs
• $700 housing bonus

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in University or in a gap year between Bachelor'sand Master's degree
• Studies outside of the U.S.A(we are not accepting applications from students who are currently studying in the U.S.A)
• A minimum of 3semesters of studies in relevant field of study
• Available for 6 months
