Job summary

SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica, NY seeks an Internship Coordinator to support experiential learning for students, especially EOP and ACE participants. You will coordinate internship opportunities, coach students, and strengthen employer partnerships to improve access to high-impact experiences.

Working with Career Services, faculty, and partners, you will manage eligibility, tracking, and assessment while expanding programs across the university.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Education, Psychology, Sociology, Human Resources, Business, Counseling, Communications, or related field.
• 1–3 years of professional experience in career services, workforce development, experiential learning, employer relations, higher education, or related field.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary internship coordinator for students in EOP and ACE programs, offering individualized guidance.
• Collaborate with academic departments and campus partners to expand experiential learning opportunities.
• Support grant-funded and institutional internship initiatives, including eligibility, tracking, and reporting.
• Coordinate development, implementation, and assessment of internship programs across the institution.
• Act as the main point of contact for students, faculty, and employers in internship programs.
• Assist students in identifying, applying for, and securing internships aligned with goals.
• Support onboarding, learning agreements, evaluations, and program documentation.
• Monitor participation and outcomes, maintaining accurate records and metrics.
• Ensure compliance with SUNY and employer policies.
