Job summary

Delta Dental Plan of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana is seeking an Intern for our Compliance department in Okemos, MI. This hybrid internship supports regulatory research, reporting, and training materials development as part of a mission to improve oral health.

You will work with data, policies, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with state and federal laws, while developing communication and writing skills.

Qualifications

• Law student in good standing and commitment to compliance.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Willing to work in a hybrid environment.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Able to learn quickly and communicate effectively in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist regulatory research to ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
• Assist with company reporting and data accuracy to meet contract requirements.
• Help develop and track compliance training materials for staff and board members.
• Assist in analyzing data, risks, and trends for management reports.
• Review policies and procedures to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.

Job Summary

We are currently seeking an Intern for our Compliance department.

Tasks

• Assisting in regulatory research to ensure company's compliance with State and Federal laws.
• Assisting with company reporting, including working with operational areas to ensure data is accurate and meets contract requirements.
• Assisting in the development of company's compliance training materials and tracking completion by employees, interns, contractors and board members.
• Assisting in analyzing data and reporting results, risks and trends to report to management.
• Assisting in the review of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and compliance requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• We are seeking a law school student.
• Must be detail oriented, analytical and strong organizational skills.
• Savvy with technology and have ideas of how to incorporate technology into learning.
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite- Word, Excel and PowerPoint experience required.
• Organized, detailed, flexible, and able to manage your own time.
• High level of creativity to represent lengthy information in a format that is engaging.
• You have the ability to communicate effectively and possess strong writing skills.
• Ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
