Job summary

Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana is seeking an Intern in Compliance to support regulatory research at our Okemos, MI hybrid site. You will assist with data reporting, policy reviews and the development of training materials for stakeholders including employees, interns, contractors and board members.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and gain exposure to healthcare compliance practices while learning how to communicate complex regulatory concepts clearly.

Qualifications

• We are seeking a law school student who is detail oriented, analytical and organized, with ideas on using technology in learning.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
• Excellent time management and creative communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in regulatory research to ensure company's compliance with State and Federal laws.
• Assisting with company reporting, including working with operational areas to ensure data is accurate and meets contract requirements.
• Assisting in the development of company's compliance training materials and tracking completion by employees, interns, contractors and board members.

Minimum Requirements

• We are seeking a law school student. Must be detail oriented, analytical and strong organizational skills. Savvy with technology and have ideas of how to incorporate technology into learning.
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite- Word, Excel and PowerPoint experience required
• Organized, detailed, flexible, and able to manage your own time
• High level of creativity to represent lengthy information in a format that is engaging
• You have the ability to communicate effectively and possess strong writing skills
• Ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
