Job summary

Ed Napleton Honda in Oak Lawn, IL is seeking an Internet Sales Consultant to handle incoming/outgoing internet leads, phone calls, and emails in a fast-paced environment. You will grow the dealership's online sales and build relationships with customers, using Auto Alert and other tools.

This role offers training, competitive pay ($50k-$60k+ with incentives), and health benefits, with opportunities for growth in a family-owned dealership group.

Qualifications

• Great customer service skills & motivation to be successful.
• Able to multi-task and manage multiple leads and inquiries.
• Ability to communicate persuasively with customers in person, by phone and via internet.
• Excellent computer skills and familiarity with dealership tools.
• Experience with Auto Alert software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mine Auto Alert database to identify customers overmileage on lease, or older vehicles pending costly repairs.
• Prospect follow-up calls set appointments for sales and gauge customer satisfaction.
• Contact customers based on current marketing incentives.
• Meet with customers to discuss new/used car options vs. repair cost.
• Follow up with existing and potential customers to generate leads and close sales.
• Explain product performance and options to prospects and describe all equipment available.
• Follow up to ensure customers visit the dealership and satisfy requests.
• Maintain a prospect and owner follow-up system to encourage repeat business.

Job Responsibilities:

• Mine Auto Alert database to identify customers overmileage on lease, or older vehicles pending costly repairs, where new vehicle purchase may make better sense.
• Prospect follow-up calls set appointments for sales, and gauge customer satisfaction.
• Contact customers based on current marketing incentives.
• Meets customers in service to discuss new/used car options vs. repair cost
• Follow-up with existing and potential customers to generate leads and close sales.
• Explaining product performance, application and benefits to prospects and describing all optional equipment available for customer purchase.
• Following up in a manner that results in the customer visiting the dealership.
• Following up on all unsold customers, and any special requests to be sure that all customer expectations are met.
• Maintaining a prospect and owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements

• Experience with Auto Alert software preferred

• Automotive experience is helpful but not required.
