International Student Admissions and Programs

Serve as an International Student Advisor (ISA) and DesignatedSchool Official (DSO) for Georgia Southern's international studentpopulation. The International Student Coordinator providesimmigration and cultural assistance in support of internationalstudent immigration compliance, retention, and graduation. TheInternational Student Coordinator ensures Student and ExchangeVisitors Information System (SEVIS) compliance and implementsstudent programs and workshops that promote the success andretention of international students, adhering to bestpractices.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a Designated School Official (DSO), advising andassisting international students on F-1 visa regulations andbenefits
  • Maintain data in the SEVIS system, providing reports asneeded
  • Counsel and refer international students to Universityresources
  • Assist with the I-20 process, communication, and supportservices for newly admitted international students
  • Maintain compliance with federal regulations and institutionalpolicies
  • Coordinate meaningful international programs (includinginternational orientation) and advise the International Ambassadorsstudent group
  • Serve as a campus advocate and resource for internationalstudents

Proposed Salary

$23.80 per hour

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweeklybasis.
