Job summary

Carleton College is seeking an Assistant Director of International Student Life to support international and domestic students as they transition and engage on campus. You will lead programs for 200–250 students and collaborate with campus partners to foster inclusive, globally minded communities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of related experience; U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is needed for SEVIS work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with minimum 2 years experience working with international students or marginalized populations.
• U.S. Citizenship and/or Permanent Residency required to work in SEVIS.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising student employees and International Peer Leaders.
• Develop and manage cultural and social programs for international and domestic students.
• Assist with International Student Orientation and International Fest.
• Collaborate with international student organizations and departments.
• Assess effectiveness of ISL programming and adapt accordingly.
• Provide advising on housing, transportation, taxes, and other cultural matters.
• Support SEVP compliance, data maintenance, and document storage.
• Participate in committees to advocate for international students.
• Maintain ISL website and social media.
