Job summary

Cal State East Bay is seeking an International Student Advisor to manage F-1 SEVIS reporting and support immigration benefits for CSUEB's international students.

You will advise students, coordinate orientation programs, and liaise with the Center for International Education and campus departments to ensure compliance with federal and university policies. Background checks may be required; review of applications begins Aug 26, 2026.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of SEVIS and F-1 student advising.
• Excellent oral and written communication, cross-cultural sensitivity.
• Ability to work with diverse student populations and campus partners.

Responsibilities

• F-1 Student Advising and DSOs coordination for CSUEB.
• Track and maintain SEVIS records and reporting.
• Advise students on immigration benefits and university policies.
• Coordinate orientation and immigration workshops.
• Support international recruitment and liaison with various departments.

Education

Four-year college degree with related coursework in counseling or student services
