Job summary

Cal State East Bay is seeking an International Student Advisor to manage F-1 student advising, act as the Designated School Official, and support international students with immigration and academic policies. You will coordinate with CSUEB departments to ensure compliant processes and provide access to orientation and immigration workshops.

Qualifications

• 3 years of progressively responsible professional student services work experience
• Master’s degree may substitute for one year experience
• Ability to work independently and with diverse teams

Responsibilities

• F-1 Student Advising as Designated School Official (DSO) for CSUEB
• Provide guidance to international students in person, by phone, and online
• Review and process F-1 related requests including employment, extensions, travel signatures and health insurance
• Ensure up-to-date and accurate information across materials and websites
• Monitor SEVIS and coordinate with relevant departments to resolve issues
• Support international recruitment efforts as needed
