Responsibilities

  • Negotiate carrier rates for international shipments and optimize transportation costs.
  • Monitor and communicate shipment status from departure to final delivery; support project coordination.
  • Assist international trade compliance function and ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Process freight documentation and coordinate with supply chain analysts and sales teams.
  • Review invoices and seek adjustments for overcharges or delays; file damage claims as needed.

About The Role

WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for an International Logistics Analyst to join our team in Duluth, GA. This role is responsible for monitoring/communicating international shipment status from the time it ships until final delivery and supporting the International Trade Compliance function.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Negotiate carrier rates for various transportation modes, focusing on cost effectiveness and customer priorities.
  • Provide solutions for transportation issues and communicate as necessary with the sales team, customer services reps and supply chain analysts.
  • Provide support to the international trade compliance function.
  • Assist project coordinators with special freight requirements and external warehousing needs.
  • Troubleshoot issues that arise in the deliveries of project freight.
  • Provide proper drop ship documentation to supply chain analysts/project coordinators to ensure timely and accurate billing of delivered goods.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively options/pricing as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Company policies and regulations.
  • Attend meetings with leadership to provide information and collect notes for distribution.
  • Review freight invoices in a timely manner to ensure accuracy and obtain adjustments on overcharges for unapproved services, delays, damages or other unwarranted charges.
  • File claims for damages exceeding insurance deductible limit.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Operations, Business Administration or other applicable fields or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge / Training
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Team and Powerpoint.
  • Ability to provide financial picture of freight vendor proposals, supply chain costs.
  • Working knowledge of international trade compliance rules and regulations.
Experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
