Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. is hiring a Warehouse Associate for our Duluth, GA location. The role includes receiving, storing, picking, packing and distributing materials, tools, and products within the warehouse.

Requirements include at least 6 months of warehouse experience, ability to operate a sit-down and stand-up forklift, and knowledge of order picking and outbound loading/unloading. High school diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

  • Conveys materials and items between receiving/production areas to storage or other designated areas.
  • Sorts and places items on racks or bins by size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or stock items.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, store, pick, pack and distribute materials and products within the warehouse.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and prepare for shipment.
  • Mark materials with identifying information.
  • Open bales, crates and other containers and record quantities.

WEG Electric has an excellent opportunity for a Warehouse Associate out of our Duluth location. The Warehouse Associate's function includes the following but not limited to receive, store, pick, pack, and distribute material, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse.

Requirements
  • At least 6 months warehouse experience required.
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Sorts and places items on racks, shelves, or in bins, according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping.
  • Marks materials with identifying information.
  • Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Records number of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Operates forklift to transport stored items from shelves to package area for shipment.
Knowledge / Training
  • Demonstrated proficiency driving a sit-down and stand-up forklift and the ability to become certified.
  • Knowledge of order picking, receiving product, understanding how to piece orders together, and outbound product loading/unloading.
  • Product on racking and bulk storage and cycle counting.
  • General warehouse safety is strongly desired.
Education

High school diploma or GED preferred.
