Job summary

The Los Angeles Dodgers LLC is seeking a Manager, International Baseball Strategy and Information to build data foundations for international scouting. You will own data quality, build scalable tools, and collaborate with scouts, analysts, and IT to drive strategic decisions.

Ideal candidates have hands-on SQL and Python/R experience, plus the ability to present complex analyses to executive stakeholders; willingness to relocate or spend onboarding time in Los Angeles is important.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in mathematics, economics, statistics, computer science, data science, OR, or related quantitative field.
• 3-5+ years with multi-source data; sports/scouting data is a plus.
• Strong production-quality SQL and Python or R; data pipelines/ETL experience.
• Ability to distill analyses into executive-level narratives and visuals.
• A proactive problem-solver with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own international scouting data across vendors, internal systems, and tools; assess trustworthiness and usage.
• Define data quality and build validation processes using existing tools.
• Identify and propose new data sources to close data gaps.
• Build tools enabling scouts and analysts to explore historical trends by country/league/age.
• Make tools self-serve for non-technical stakeholders; avoid central notebook bottlenecks.
• Lead or contribute to valuation and projection models for international players.
• Write SQL daily and use Python/R for analysis; collaborate with international teams.
• Translate questions into data pipelines and present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
