Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience with messy, multi-source data.
• Proven ability to write production-quality SQL and Python or R.
• Experience with data pipelines or ETL.
• Ability to translate analyses into executive narratives and visuals.
• Knowledge of baseball and international markets preferred.
• Willing to spend extended time in Los Angeles for onboarding.
• Fluency in Spanish or Japanese is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own international scouting data sources and data quality standards.
• Build tools to explore historical trends by country, league, position, age, and signing bonus.
• Lead valuation and projection models for international players in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Write code daily (SQL for data work; Python/R for analysis).
• Present findings to non-technical stakeholders in usable form.
