Qualifications

• BA/BS in mathematics, economics, statistics, CS, data science, OR or related field.
• 0–3 years of experience with strong quantitative training.
• Comfort writing production-quality SQL and Python or R; ETL/dbt workflows a plus.
• Interest in baseball and international markets; willingness to relocate to Los Angeles.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; Spanish or Japanese a plus.

Responsibilities

• Audit international scouting data sources and validate ingestion.
• Build data quality checks and leverage internal tools for validation.
• Develop exploratory tools to analyze historical trends by country/league/age.
• Contribute to valuation and projection models for international players.
• Write code daily (SQL, Python/R) and present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
