Apartment Operations Coordinator

The Opportunity

As the Apartment Operations Coordinator, you will hold a full-time, 12-month appointment and report to the Assistant Director of Apartment Operations. You will provide oversight of the apartment services office, serving more than 1,800 students and families with their key and apartment assignment needs. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of apartment contract assignments, including transfer and contract termination processes. You will provide one-on-one advising to residents, supervise apartment services staff, and work closely with Apartment Custodial and Auxiliary Facilities Services to support the resident experience and facilitate the unit turnover process. You will also demonstrate strong communication, public relations, and public speaking skills in serving residents and collaborating with campus partners.

Additional Information

This is a full-time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible. Monthly Salary: $5,000.00 - $5,500.00 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area.
  • Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
  • Relevant leasing office, or living group experience.
  • Must be willing and able to keep regular hours and work some evenings and weekends.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated computer software skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office programs such as: Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and Sharepoint.
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying laws, rules, policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting equal access and opportunity.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in College Student Personnel/Higher Education Administration or a related field.
  • Experience with StarRez or other Housing Management System.
  • Experience in facility access management and oversight (keys, access cards, etc.).
  • Experience with conference or hospitality operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work well under stressful conditions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse student and staff population.
  • Demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of student development and academic success.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with students and administrators in a broad range of situations and demonstrate a genuine concern/interest for the welfare of students.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collegially and collaboratively with diverse internal and external constituencies.
