Hylant in Nebraska is seeking a Captive Reinsurance Accountant to support evaluation and management of reinsurance contracts, claims, and reinsurer relationships. You will prepare technical, financial accounting of premium, claims and reserves from statements or bordereaux.

You will review contracts, process claims, generate reports, advise internal stakeholders on statutory and accounting matters, and drive process improvement.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of experience in reinsurance accounting or related financial area.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Strong relationship-building with internal and carrier partners.
• Fluent in English.
• Willingness to travel by car or plane for meetings.

The Opportunity:

The Captive Reinsurance Accountant role provides crucial support in the evaluation and management of reinsurance contracts, claims, and relationships with reinsurers. The role is key to ensuring compliance with company policies, efficient claim settlement, and effective communication and collaboration with reinsurers. Prepare technical, financial accounting of premium, claim and reserves based on statement of accounts or on bordereaux.
