Olympia Fields Hospital in Olympia Fields, IL, seeks a Temporary Internal Registry RN for Day Shift in the ICU. This 12-week assignment offers a $60.00 per hour flat rate and the opportunity to provide direct patient care using the nursing process.

The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, coordinate with physicians, monitor hemodynamics, and educate patients and families while upholding privacy and professional standards in a high-acuity ICU setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certification required on hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification current or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Arrhythmia interpretation experience or training within 30 days of hire.
• One year minimum as staff RN in acute care hospital; ICU preferred.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Temporary Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift

Location: Olympia Fields, IL

Department: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Status: Temporary Internal Registry (Full-Time .9)

Shift: Day Shift

Compensation: $60.00 per hour (Flat Rate)

Assignment Details

The assignment is expected to last 12 weeks; however, staffing needs will be evaluated on an ongoing basis and may be adjusted based on operational requirements.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. They communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Pay Transparency

Olympia Fields Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $60.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
