St. Mary’s Hospital – Kankakee is seeking a Temporary Internal Registry RN for the Telemetry unit on the Night shift in Kankakee, IL. The 12-week assignment is full-time at 0.9 FTE with a $60.00 per hour flat rate to support staffing needs during peak periods.
You will deliver direct patient care, participate in the nursing process, and collaborate with physicians while maintaining patient privacy and EMTALA reporting obligations.

The assignment is expected to last 12 weeks; however, staffing needs will be evaluated on an ongoing basis and may be adjusted based on operational requirements.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care in Telemetry. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her patients in the Emergency Department. They communicate with the physician about the changes in the patient’s clinical condition including results of the diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is capable of responding quickly and accurately to changes in the condition and/or response to treatment. Is knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies and Hospital Social Worker. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
St. Mary's Hospital – Kankakee offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $60. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
