Job summary

Prime Healthcare Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago is seeking a Registered Nurse for a temporary assignment in Physical Rehab - Orthopedics. The position offers 12-hour day shifts (7a–7:30p) on a 12-week assignment, with an hourly rate of $60.00.

The RN will perform the nursing process, deliver safe patient care, guide patient and family teaching, and maintain privacy and standards of care. Required: active state RN license and BLS; ACLS within 30 days; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid State RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice in Physical Rehabilitation.
• Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment and maintains privacy and confidentiality.

Assignment Details:

• The assignment is expected to last 12 weeks; however, staffing needs will be evaluated on an ongoing basis and may be adjusted based on operational requirements.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Physical Rehabilitation Department. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

Pay Transparency

Saint Mary of Nazareth offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $60.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
