PetVet Care Centers' Hope Advanced Veterinary Center in Vienna, VA seeks an Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician to support hospital operations with high-quality care and exceptional client service. The role involves patient examinations, diagnostic procedures, surgery assistance, nursing care, and record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Strong veterinary nursing skills including patient assessment, venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, medication administration, and care of hospitalized patients.

Responsibilities

• Determine animal requirements by examinations and records; review care plans and labs; perform diagnostic imaging.
• Care for patients by taking vital signs, collecting samples, administering meds and vaccines, and wound care.
• Assist during examinations and operations by preparing supplies and restraining animals as directed.
• Provide nursing care with knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes, pharmacology and devices.
• Obtain and verify medications and ensure proper documentation.
• Maintain medical records and communicate with pet owners about patient status.
• Maintain equipment and inventory; ensure sterility and clean environments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.
